Celebrating Contributions of Women: Meet Our Designer, PV

In 1911, more than a million people gathered for the first International Women’s Day gathering. Now, people across the world celebrate the contributions of women and to remind us that we must continue working toward an equitable world for women. 

The 2023 campaign theme #EmbraceEquity seeks to spark a conversation about equality vs. equity, noting that equal opportunities can result in excluding rather than including women. 

We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. 

Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity. 

Forging gender equity isn't limited to women solely fighting the good fight. Allies are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women.

Everyone everywhere can play a part.

All IWD activity is valid.

That's what makes IWD so inclusive.

Collectively, we can all forge positive change.

To contribute to the conversation, our Limelight creator PV designed this “Embrace Equity” image. Today, we celebrate her and the contributions of all women on our Limelight team, as well as the artists, activists, allies and everyday people working toward a more equitable world. 

PV’s journey as a graphic designer started when her parents gave her a pencil and she proceeded to make their own house her canvas. With a background in business, she has the knack to create powerful designs that resonate with clients’ marketing needs.

From brand logos, brochures, social media graphics, and multimedia deliverables, PV is behind some of the most innovative of Limelight’s graphic design images.

“Working with Limelight has been a wonderful opportunity for me to further my passion for graphic design, especially within the context of marketing and social media. A big part of working with companies in multiple industries is learning what they put the highest value on and applying these takeaways to my work. You get to really hear out what their needs are and create a solution that tackles these problems through my designs.”

Outside of work, PV enjoys sewing clothes and crafting props for her cosplay projects. She also enjoys photography and aims to take photos of scenic places around the world.
